THE DEVELOPMENT
Currently undergoing the planning stage with construction due to commence late summer ’06. The proposal is for a range of homes at varying sizes to suit all purchasers who want the beautiful west coast location and the stunning ridge views that we will have to offer but still within minutes of the islands famous beaches.
Homes will start at two bedroom one bathroom apartments of 1,400 sq.ft up to three bedroom three bathroom town houses of 2,000 sq.ft, our ethos is to provide a balance between indoor and outdoor living with living rooms extending out to covered terraces and roof gardens to exploit the panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Kitchens will be comprehensively fitted with oven, hob & hood, dishwasher & fridge/freezer, plus individual washer & dryer in a separate self contained laundry. Bathrooms are inspired by Phillipe Starck with hardwood vanity tables, white sanitary-ware, chrome taps & glass walled showers. The use of pickled pitch pine ceilings with polished hardwood floors and porcelain tiles to the bathrooms. All bedrooms will be air-conditioned. The electrical system will incorporate security alarm, power, phone lines, and TV connections together with low-voltage down lighters, wall up-lighters or separate switchable lamp circuits. Solar heating systems will supply hot water. Externally the homes will be rendered with coral stone detail to door and window surrounds. The development will be extensively landscaped with tropical plants and secured by a wall with electrically controlled wrought iron gates.
We expect prices for the new homes will start from US$795,000. A show house will be completed by Spring ‘07, with the remaining development being available by Christmas ‘08.
THE POTENTIAL
Obviously with Barbados being one of the premier resorts for beach holidays the first thought is to rent property directly on the beach. Due to the prohibitively high cost of beachfront properties by far the largest letting market is for the more affordable properties which although not beachfront offers easy access to the beach and in the case of STOREHOUSE GAP TWO spectacular 180 degree sea view. The quest for income is further enhanced by a climate that provides year-round letting potential. |
